The full game will drop on January 21st and let those players who whet their appetites with the demo finally get the whole story. Dead Space 2 is the sequel to the well-received Dead Space and the second game in the Dead Space series. If you weren't excited for Dead Space 2 before, you certainly will be after playing the demo, which leaves you craving more. Dead Space 2 does not have a traditional heath and ammo counter, instead opting for all critical information to be displayed via the RIG suit Isaac wears. If you get sucked out into space, it's all over. The demo has you battling a giant alien creature that breaks the containment of the ship with outer space and has you frantically trying to keep your footing in the land of gravity. "On Rails" type action sequences existed in Dead Space 1, but they have been improved in every way in Dead Space 2. However, unlike Dead Space 2, on a new playthrough the original five suits do not have special Elite versions. The sheer terror involved in the game is similar to what it was in Dead Space 1, but the sequel (at least in this demo) actually brought a lot more action with it, and some great actions scenes at that. The demo puts you back in control of Isaac Clarke, and picks up right where the eeriness and horror of Dead Space 1 left off. The Dead Space 2 demo was released in late December, and is now available both on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network. This page contains a list of cheats, codes, Easter eggs, tips, and other secrets for Dead Space Ignition for Xbox 360.
